The Problem
The “one size fits all” approach is the current standard of care for prostate cancer. While it may get the job done, systematic biopsies can lead to delayed diagnoses, more advanced cancer and fewer treatment options.
The Solution
Our products make MRI-targeted biopsies more accurate, efficient and accessible, so physicians can deliver diagnoses faster. When caught early, prostate cancer is not only more treatable, but also gives patients more options for treatment. These focal therapies minimize damage to healthy tissue, giving patients the best chance at maintaining urinary and sexual function.
Improves Diagnostic Pathway
MRI could be used as a triage test to avoid biopsy if the results are negative, whereas positive results could be used for targeting regions of interest during biopsy.
More Treatment Options
The targeted approach opens the door to less invasive procedures such as cryotherapy, high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) and irreversible electroporation (IRE) ablation.
MRI Fusion Pathway
“The Fusion Bx makes targeted procedures faster and easier to perform. It has opened the door to IRE treatment, allowing me to confidently place needles and electrodes with accuracy and speed.”
